Capt.
Ariel Cabrera has
dedicated over two decades to constantly exploring the vast expanses and
innermost reaches of the Everglades via skiff and canoe.
Captain Ariel gained his initial experience as a mate on sport fishing
yachts. He later earned a P.A.D.I. Divers certificate, which led to years of
underwater exploration in the South Florida area and the Florida Keys. In
1998, Ariel began his career as a professional backcountry guide,
specializing in fly and light tackle fishing. In addition to his years of
experience, Captain Ariel is a United States Coast Guard-licensed captain
and a commercially insured Everglades National Park-permitted fishing guide.
At the
heart of Captain Ariel's career is a lifelong passion for teaching and
fishing. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he gratefully instructs those
willing to take up the art of fly casting. He is currently an active member
of the Florida Outdoor Writer's Association (FOWA) and has been featured
prominently in the Miami Herald.
Captain Ariel is professionally associated with Old Florida-Nautilus Fly
Reels, St. Croix Fly rods, D.O.A. Lures and many others.

Guided Gheenoe Fishing:
Fish the "no motor zones" in remote areas that are accessible by canoe only.
These places receive light fishing pressure from other anglers so the
fishing is typically excellent. Snook, redfish, tarpon, and sea trout are
common in these waters. These trips are tailored to the experience,
abilities, and requests of the client, so please call for pricing. Space is
limited to one angler.
Skiff
Fishing:
Fish for a full or 3/4 or 1/2 day in an 18-foot Hell's Bay Skiff equipped to
handle all possible fishing challenges in the area. The unparalleled
maneuverability and shallow draft of this vessel allows our charters to
access areas that are off limits to other watercraft. Safety is our main
concern aboard the skiff, and we are equipped with the latest communications
gear, from VHF radios to mobile satellite phones. Tackle, bait, and other
equipment are also provided.
Near-Shore / OffShore:
A fishing trip on a deep-vee 21-foot boat to a Gulf of Mexico shipwreck is
unforgettable. Enormous Goliath grouper will test your strength and stamina.
You can also expect to find lots of free-leaping tarpon, loggerhead turtles,
and emerald green water. Permit, cobia, tripletail and mackerel are
plentiful as well.
