NO FISH NO PAY GUARANTEE...................it's that simple!

Captain Carl Smith is a fifth generation Southwest Florida native, born in Rubonia,  Florida. He has been fishing the waters of Tampa Bay since he was three years old with his grandfather.  In 1990 he moved to Charlotte County, bringing with him a life time of fishing experience.  When asked why he chose to live in Charlotte County, his reply is simple,  "It's the best shallow water fishing in the state!"  He's not only an expert shallow water guide, but also a 22 year experienced helicopter pilot for Charlotte County Mosquito Control and the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.  Captain Carl specializes in Redfish, Snook and Trout, but has been known to hook up Snapper and Grouper for his customers!  His favorite charter is where his customers will hook their first Redfish or Snook. His most memorable charter was when a customer's nine year old son landed a 34 inch Snook.  Captain Carl is equipped with a 2001 21-ft Back Country flats boat, powered by a 200 HP Yamaha V-Max outboard motor.  He uses only tournament quality light tackle rods and reels, combine that with his expect knowledge of the water and fun personality to give you the "ultimate shallow water experience'.

With a lifetime of Florida "On the Water" experience; Capt Carl has developed the art of "Florida Native" fishing into a science.  Let him share his science with you on your next Florida Light Tackle Fishing Adventure.

Coverage Area:  Southwest Florida

Capt. Carl can accommodate "On the water" pick-ups & drop offs in areas, which include; Boca Grande, Gasparilla Marina, Bokeelia, Pine Island, Burnt Store, Gasparilla, Cayo Costa, Sanibel, Captiva and many of the out islands.   Capt. Carl charges $50 to pickup on Captiva, North Captiva, Useppa, Cayo Costa, Cabbage Key, Gasparilla, Little Gasparilla and Palm Island.

Species Targeted:  Capt. Carl can consistently target any species of game fish that patrol the inshore and near shore waters of the Southwest Florida Coast, to include Giant Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Trout, Shark, Mackerel, Cobia,  Snapper, Goliath Grouper (a.k.a., Jewfish) and Jack Crevalle.  His specialty however, is targeting Giant Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Trout and Jack Crevalle.  Upon special request, Capt. Carl can target all five aforementioned species in a single day.  Be lucky enough to land all five, and you’ve mastered a coveted Boca Grande Grand Slam!

The Back Country floats in less then a foot of water, which is a necessity when targeting Snook, Redfish and Trout in our shallow waters, and she will comfortably cross open choppy water.

The captain’s  boats are equipped with the very best and latest in equipment, to include a Fish Finder, Global Positioning System, Computerized Chart/Map Plotter, VHF Radio, Cellular Telephone.  The boats are also equipped with Minn Kota Riptide Electric Motors for creeping up on schools of Tarpon and Power-Poles to hold the boat in position while, anglers make cast to tailing Redfish and/or frenzied Snook.

Charter includes:  Rod, reels,  live, dead & artificial bait, tackle, fishing licenses,  water, ice, fish cleaning & bagging and no fish no pay guarantee.  Our professional and friendly attitude is free of charge.

Capt. Carl is a current member of the C.C.A., I.G.F.A.,  and is a featured Guide on several T.V. Shows.
