Captain Jim Anson is an experienced light tackle tournament angler. He has been fishing South Florida waters for over 30 years. He has personally caught more than 44 I.G.F.A Certified World Records. He is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable fishermen in the world.  In 2006 Capt. Jim was inducted into the prestigious; I.G.F.A World Record Hall of Fame!

Capt. Jim Anson clients have been guided to more than 110 I.G.F.A World Record Catches!!!!  Anson has won the Master Angler Award in the Metropolitan South Florida Fishing Tournament three times. This is the largest tournament in the world, running five months and attracting 50,000 entries a year. the Master Angler award is the most difficult award to win in fishing.  It recognizes the top overall fisherman during the tournament's run.  It requires the capture of trophy sized fish on a variety of tackles including fly rod, spinning rod, and bait casting rods all without natural baits, as well as light tackle down to 6 pound test line!

Capt. Jim teaches fly fishing techniques & skills to all ages & all skill levels.  He is very friendly & very patient which make a learning day on the water as enjoyable as being a pro!!!!!!

Coverage Area:  Capt. Jim can accommodate "On the water" pick-ups & drop offs in areas, which include;  Port of the Isles, Chokoloskee, Everglades, Flamingo, Key Biscayne & the Miami Canal chain!

Species Targeted:  Capt. Jim can consistently target any species of game fish that patrol the inshore and near shore waters of the South & Southwest Florida Coast, to include Giant Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Trout, Shark,  and Jack Crevalle. 

 Freshwater Species:  Trophy Peacock Bass & Largemouth Bass with a typical day of 20 to 40 caught & released in the Miami canals!!!

Sight Seeing & Nature Tours:  Available for a personalized sightseeing & nature tours. 

Maximum Anglers: 2 only for Fly-fishing, &  2 adults + 1 child for Spin,  Plug  Artificial Lures & Live Bait fishing.

Boat:  Capt. Jim's 17'6"ft. Flats Skiff is manufactured by Maverick Pathfinder and  powered by a 60hp Yamaha engine.   Capt. Jim's boat is equipped with a Fish Finder, GPS, VHF Radio and Cellular Telephone.

Rates:  Backcountry & Flats:  5hr Day - $379,     7hr Day - $429,

Rates are for two anglers.  Ps. add $25 for a child as the 3rd angler/passenger.  Ps. add $50.00 for Port of the Isles, Chokoloskee, Everglades, & Flamingo areas. 

Rates include all live, dead & artificial bait, tackle, fishing licenses, ice and fish cleaning & bagging.  Our Professional and friendly attitude is free of charge.
