"Tarpon" June 2006 "Fever"

Brian Pierce & his son, Drew had quite the adventure while fishing for "Silver Kings" in "World Famous Boca Grande Pass" with Capt. Derrick Jacobsen! After multiple hookups with "Tail Walking" Poons they managed to conquered this beautiful Tarpon!

Jeff Short traveled overseas from the U.K. to experience the vast backcountry waters of the "Florida Everglades" with Capt. Arial Cabrara & Capt Ray Culver for a two boat adventure! Jeff soon realized that June is not only a great month for Tarpon but also an excellent month for Snook, Redfish, Trout, Mackerel, Jack Crevalle & Triple Tail as pictured above along with plenty of smiles!!

Jeff Short & his father Glyn show off some beautiful Snook & Redfish caught while onboard w/Capt. Ray Culver in the Chokoloskee/10,000 Island area!! "Great Catch Guys"!

"The Brown Family" had their hands full with plenty of "Charlotte Harbor" action! Their angling adventure consisted of backcountry & bay fishing for Redfish, Trout, Mackerel & Sharks! Their biggest prize was a 5ft Bull Shark pictured above, they also battled multiple Black Tip Sharks and lot's of Mackerel while fishing with Capt. Angel Torress! Another; Florida Light Tackle "Family Fishing Adventure" :)

Day 1 "FLTC Return Clients" Jerry & Chad Lisiecki w/fishing buddy, Terry McNabb experienced an unbelievable "Peacock Bass Fishing Adventure" with the I.F.A. Haul-of-Famer; Capt. Jim Anson! Combined they battled & landed over 100 Peacock & Largemouth Bass up to 7lbs during their 5hr "Miami Lakes Peacock Adventure" "Way to Go Guys"

Day 2 Jerry & Chad Lisiecki w/fishing buddy, Terry McNabb experienced the breathtaking sunset of "Boca Grande Pass" while they caught Snook w/Capt. Derrick Jacobsen! They fished into the night landing multiple Snook, Bluefish, Mangrove Snapper & Grouper along the rocky terrain of Boca Pass! "Excellent 2-Days of Fishing"

"Todd Crosswhite's EXTREME Fear Factor Goliath Trip"!!!

"Repeat Client" Todd Crosswhite is definitely an "Adrenaline Junkie" for "Extreme Goliath Fishing"!!! Todd couldn't wait to tangle with "MONSTER GOLIATH'S" again as he experienced them last year! After telling friends of this "Extreme Angling" they too beckoned for "The Chair"!! Todds Goliath tip the scales at approx. 275lbs, check out below what happens to his friends as Captain's Derrick Jacobsen, Kenny Hyatt, Brian Hart & Ronnie Scott put anglers & tackle to the test, let's see who "Will Break" first!!!

Todd's friend, Charles Oxendine gets help staying in the chair from Capt's Kenny Hyatt & Ronnie Scott as this Monster makes a run for the bottom! You can see why these "Powerful Beasts" cause you to experience your own Fear Factor!! Remember; You are harnessed to the rod but not to the "Chair"

Todd's other fishin buddy Tim Wilson takes his turn in the "Chair" with mega results! But it took mega effort from big guy Tim to beat this "Goliath"! Capt. Kenny Hyatt lends a hand on the rod just about the time Tim gets "Bent" from the massive downward power of this "Goliath" which weighed over 300lbs! "Big Man Tim" said he felt like Jell-O after defeating this one! "Extreme Fun"!!!

"Returning Clients", Lee & Sarah Hancock hooked a "Monster Tarpon" at sunset on beautiful "Charlotte Harbor" guided by Capt. Angel Torress. This Poon, to big to pull up for a picture was over 180+lbs & a very exhausted Lee Hancock was a happy angler! Congratulations Lee, on your 1.5hr battle with this awesome "Poon"! "Way to Go Lee"!!!

"Long Time Client", former Physical ED teacher, "The Hoss", Dan Ross (1st pic) & fishin buddy Ron Jenkins battle several big "Poons" in Boca Grande Pass with Capt. Derrick Jacobsen. Just as they were winning the battle against the last Tarpon, out of nowhere it looked like a bomb exploded on the surface as a trio of 600lb "Bull Sharks" annihilated their Poon! Within seconds the only thing visible was a few sinking scales & lot's of blood for a "Hair Raising Experience"!

Todd Crosswhite & Charles Oxendine also did some Tarpon fishing before & after their "Goliath Adventure" w/Capt. Kenny Hyatt! They hooked up several "Big Poons" with the biggest pictured far right at over 200+lbs!! Congratulations Todd, you are now part of the "Florida Light Tackle Charters 200+lb Monster Tarpon Club" "Awesome Catch"!!

Paul Plante returns for the "2006 Tarpon Season" with "Florida Light Tackle Charters" During his visit this year they did some backcountry/flats, Shark & Tarpon fishing w/Captains Derrick Jacobsen & Ryan Rowan! They experienced multi-species from Snook, Redfish, Snapper, Shark & Tarpon during their multi-day-charters with the trophy catch being this 180+lb Tarpon!! "Nice Job Guys"

Gayle Myrick returns again from Virginia to try her luck at "Battling the Poons"! After several hookups she felt like Jell-O!!

"ON FIRE" Robert Link & his Father brought "Lady Luck" onboard during their Tarpon charter w/Capt. Derrick Jacobsen. Sarah & Rebecca were non-stop "Hooked Up" w/Tarpon from start to finish during their 8hr charter!! They managed to battle & land several of their all-day hookups but their last Poon of the day showed enough weakness to get the attention of a 14ft Monster Hammerhead, you can see the end result!!!! "Excellent Work-Ladies"

"Happy Anglers" John Gibson, his son Tanner & good friend Terry were very happy to accomplish their goals of landing a "Big Tarpon"! They traveled all the way from Albemarle, CT to fish with w/Capt. Derrick Jacobsen for Tarpon & as you can see they were all smiles!!!! :)

"Hardcore Anglers" Barry Greims & Son Chad return for 3-Days of "Punishment"

During their 3-days of fishing with Florida Light Tackle they battled Tarpon, Monster Goliaths & this 15ft Mega Hammerhead that invited Barry's 130lb Tarpon over for LUNCH!!

After battling, Poons it was time for some "Fear Factor Extreme Angling" for Barry & Chad w/Capt. Derrick Jacobsen! Barry was first to "Strap In" & with the mates holding him down in the "Chair" the first "Mega Monster" came boiling to the surface! After seeing his Dad struggled to stay in the boat, Chad's Fear Factor took hold! After plenty of reassurance from Dad, Chad harnessed in for a mega battle! Robert Soto & Capt. Scott Roe (the mates) held Chad down while Dad lends a helping hand! Then Barry & Chad tell Robert, "Let's see you get in the chair", of course they return the favor by holding Robert in the boat during his battle!! All the Goliaths landed were between 250 to 350lbs! ("Everybody Felt Like Jell-O")

"Return Clients" Randy Proudfit returns to Boca Grande/Charlotte Harbor to get several days of "Catching" in with Florida Light Tackle Charters! Randy always brings plenty of fishin buddies with him, this year, Troy Wasserman, Will Evens & Todd Moore had a blast while fishing for Tarpon & Backcountry game-fish! During their 2-Day/2-boat charter the group caught countless Snook, Redfish, Snapper & Tarpon (even a few Catfish to boot)! They were guided by Captains; Derrick Jacobsen, Brian Hart & Jarrett Lombard!

"Extreme Goliath Gladiators" Check out the power of these Goliaths as it takes all three men to hold the rod & angler from going bye-bye!! This Goliath was approx. 375lbs!

"More Extreme Goliath Battling" This "Adrenaline Cowboy" had more than an 8 second ride with this "Mega Goliath"! He got more than he bargained for when he saddled up in "Chair" & hooked up to this "Beast", it took over 600lbs of combined man power to steady the rod & overthrow this "Monster Goliath" especially when its massive power broke the reel harness!!!! This Goliath was approx. 425lbs! Capt. Brian Hart & Capt. Kenny Hyatt need some help for a picture shot!
